OUR HOUSES: THEIR STORIES is a biography of the 107 houses of Cairndow village at the head of Loch Fyne in Argyll which will be exhibited at Eden Court Theatre, Inverness, from 13 March to 2 April 2011.

The Shetland Folk Festival committee have completed the line up for the 31st Festival by announcing more than fifty local bands that will play at venues the length and breadth of Shetland, as well as the Festival Club over the four-day event.

Today (Monday, 7th March) the Celtic Media Festival unveils its full programme of events as 2011 marks the event’s 32nd year. The Festival is on countdown to 13th April when it will return to its birthplace of the Scottish Western Isles with a schedule crammed full of top talent.

The National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland (NYPB) will bring its exciting brand of pipe band music to Ross and Cromarty for the very first time on Saturday 26th March 2011, with the aim of fostering interest in piping and drumming and developing the talent of local young players.

This summer the Dornoch Social Club will be the venue for the second exhibition of art by local artists at the Dornoch Gallery from 1 June to 3 September 2011.

HI~Arts’ Scottish Island Writers Network is very proud to present a reading in Stornoway on 18 March 2011 by one of Scotland’s leading novelists and poets, Robert Alan Jamieson.
