A diverse range of businesses on Fochabers High Street will be combining their usual activities with displays of artwork this month.

The project ‘Acts of Trust’, by Ian Stephen and Christine Morrison, supported by Shetland Arts and Western Isles Libraries, has been nominated by Donald Anderson of Shetland Arts in the British Awards for Storytelling Excellence.

The 2012 sound festival offers more than 80 performances and events in 30 venues across North East Scotland.

The first week of the international artists residency project, Ceangal in Gairloch, Wester Ross has been a resounding success.

Last weekend’s Grand Finale at Eden Court capped a marvellous week’s entertainment throughout the Highlands.

“Wild North” celebrates the nature, landscapes and people of Caithness and Sutherland.

The new course brings students from all areas in the Highlands and Islands and the central belt of Scotland for a week of music making, performances, creative activity and lectures from the highly skilled delivery team led by composer and performer Anna-Wendy Stevenson.
