6°WEST, the new artist collective based on the Isle of Mull, has received funding from HI-Arts and Creative Scotland to have an artist residency on the island of Inch Kenneth in June 2011 as part of the Year of Scotland’s Islands.

Craignish Arts Festival 2011 will be held from 23 July – 7 August. It will bring together the best of all things art for a fantastic fun packed fortnight.

This summer Kilmartin House Museum in Argyll is having a series of 4 exhibitions on the walls of Glebe Cairn cafe. Each exhibition will represent one of the four elements and will consist of exhibits in a variety of different media.

Within the historic collection of Mount Stuart an exhibition of works by contemporary artists Eva Berendes, Simon Bill, Enrico David, Karin Ruggaber and Sarah Staton will be installed for the summer months.

Storyteller and musician Bob Pegg leads a walk on 15 May from Nether Largie to a dramatic climax at Temple Wood, in a quest for the secret hiding place of the Giant’s Heart.

Tread the Boards Theatre Company will be bringing their Musical Theatre Summer School to the Corran Halls in Oban from 1– 13 August 2011.

Feis Cothlam 2011 – a gaelic wool festival celebrating everything woolly in Argyll is taking place from 21st to 23rd July 2011 in Benderloch, Argyll.

Sounding the Stones with International Musician and Storyteller Bob Pegg is taking place on the 14th & 15th May 2011 at Kilmartin House Museum in Argyll.

Kieran Goss is coming to the Victory Hall in Benderloch next Wednesday, 27th April.

The Puppet Animation Festival is once again coming to Craignish Village Hall, Ardfern, on the 22 & 26 April 2011.
